Can a doctor or lawyer discuss their patients/cases with own spouses? -

Never mind whether it is ethical or not, is it legal for a doctor or lawyer to discuss patients or cases with their own spouse at home?

In my state, it is not illegal for lawyers to discuss cases with spouses, but it is unethical. If a lawyer is reported for this, they can be disciplined and have their license suspended. (Depends on the severity of the offense and whether other charges have been brought.) I don t know of any state that makes it illegal, but in most states doctors and lawyers can be disciplined by their state boards.
