I am not sure you can do much..you kept living there--even though you told them you needed a lower floor. Kinda your loss. You never actively pursued justice before moving. Sorry.
I can t imagine a lawyer turning you down, if he handles personal injury. Try the local bar association for recommendations. If the town is too small to have one, call the state bar association.
there are attorneys out there who want your case. probably all of them will want a percentage of the settlement and not a small one either. how you tell a good attorney from one who is only good at selling to you is something I haven t mastered [and hope to never need to know]. Since this happened in Arkansas [whacky thought??] in addition to the usual sources of attorneys try dropping a personal letter to Hiliary Clinton c/o her US Senate office in Washington. I bet she s still connected to some law firms back in Arkansas and probably can give you a referral !! [And ask your congressman and senators for referrals as well. Most of them are likely lawyers and know plenty of sharks who d want your case.] :-) GL
You should be able to find a personal injury attorney who will take your case on contingency, just make sure you have documentation showing everything. If you do, it looks to me like you have a pretty solid case. You can find a lawyer in the yellow pages, or by calling the Bar Association in your area.
Best advice is to ask a local attorney. Most will NOT charge for a first visit. Here are some great city-specific legal directories to help you find one: http://www.san-francisco-oakland-bay-are... http://www.sacramento-ca-lawyers-attorne... http://www.la-orange-county-lawyers-atto... http://www.las-vegas-nevada-lawyer-attor... http://www.san-jose-ca-lawyers-attorneys... http://www.sacramento-ca-lawyers-attorne... http://www.dallas-fort-worth-texas-lawye... http://www.new-jersey-lawyers-directory.... http://www.legal-advice-library.info http://www.san-antonio-texas-lawyers-att... http://www.brokerforyou.com/san-diego-re... http://www.new-jersey-lawyers-directory....
