My girlfriend was working with the bank to catch up on her mortage payments, and she was hit with lawyer fees? -

The counselor that she was working with basically blew her off when she was trying to contact him via email. Then all of a sudden her case was transferred to the foreclosure office and was told that she now has to pay approximately $3K-$5K in lawyer fees in addition to the $4000 that she now owes. The kicker is she has the money to pay the $4000 now, but was blindsided by the lawyer fees. Is there anyway that she can bypass paying the lawyer fees, since she wasn t notified of the time frame. It just seems really unfair . . . .

unfortunately when some one gets in that state they will attach Atty fees. She needs to pay what she can and work out a forebearance agreement withthe lender for the rest I am a mortgage banker in Tn amp; KY
