What kind of lawyer do i need to resolve a dispute with a county tax collector? -

15 years ago i inherited property, but i just recently found out about it. when i contacted the county tax collector, they told me is was sold in march of 2005 in a public tax auction.

An estate planning and taxation attorney (with LLM) should be able to assist you. If you can t find a referral from friends or family, go to this web site to look for one http://www.lawyers.com/?site=466amp;CMP=KA2... Your state Bar associate may also have recommandation. Best wishes.

Any attorney that deals in real estate can help you. You may be able to redeem the property by paying all the taxes and expenses of the person who bought the property. Each state has different requirements.

You might be able to get the excess proceeds, if any, the county got when they sold the property.
