How long do car insurance claims take to settle with a lawyer? -

I was in a car crash, the other driver was cited. I got an attorney and am waiting for a settlement. How long does it usually take?

Much longer than if you do it by yourself. Usually 18 months to 2 years.

It depends on how fast the insurance company and the attorney work, and how fast your medical bills get to the necessary people. It could take a year or more. Mine took a little over a year.

I ve seen some take as long as a year.
