Is a lawyer the most glamourous job in the world? -

besides being a president of a country would you say a lawyer is the most upmarket and well respected profession?

no, mortician is the most glamorous

It depends on what kind of lawyer you are, really. If you are a personal injury lawyer, then no. Many people have a bad opinion of lawyers, but all lawyers don t really deserve this. Many work hard to try and protect our freedoms, our country, our environment. Not all are bad. Being a lawyer is mostly paperwork, paperwork, paperwork with some excitement thrown in here and there.

I would say that the job requires above-average intelligence, good reasoning ability, attention to detail and good reading and writing skills. Practically speaking, being able to pretend you do care or don t care at precisely the right moments is a must. I would say that some lawyers are more glamorous than others. This is not a cookie cutter job.

Lawyers consistently come out in polls as among the most disliked and disrespected jobs....along with politicians and used car salesman. Fireman, police and nurses usually come out as the most respected. Glamorous??? What have you been smoking, and where can I get some?

DANG NICK C....that was a BRILLIANT ANSWER!...I like that one....But, I respect people of all professions whether they are a Sanitation worker or an Attorney. oh. and whatever happened to being a Medical Doctor?...I would say that this is a profession that is well respected considering Doctors are the people who help save our lives in order for us to live and pursue careers as ATTORNEYS....

LOL....no...not even close. Too many lawyers have to crawl through the dredges of society to stay afloat. They however are more respected than media types, but they are both less respected than used car salesman.

It would probably the most hated job by the public because they usually find loop holes to get money from innocent people, well the ones that have no respect for their fellow man.

No. Lawyers spend the majority of time on paperwork. There s a reason lawyers are called quot;sharksquot;. It s a generalization but there is some truth to it.

Not even close. That distinction has to go to people like Paris Hilton, who are famous and make tons of money by doing absolutely nothing of importance.

What will you do with a US Lawyer degree in China, Japan or Thailand? Build Bridges and Cars In Asia they have the ELDERS who solve disputes.... and it doesn t cost $$

Nope. Most people look at lawyers as being parasites.

Nope - Rock Star

It s so glamorous that sharks don t attack them for professional courtesy.

No....airline pilot.

Not really.

No, I think it carries the stigma of being very slimy.

No, they are down at the bottom of the list next to used car salesman! Bottom Feeders!

I don t have much respect for lawyers. Once you ve work with them you see how phony they are.

No. People only have respect for attorneys when they need one

In their own minds, yes.

No. I doesn t appear this way to me. Neither does being president of a country.

No, far from it *-*
