Defamation is difficult to prove, and costly to persue. You d better hope you have a very strong case, and an opponent who has a bad lawyer AND lots of money - otherwise, the suit isn t worthwhile.
I totally agree with Terry s comment. Assuming you do have a good case you might would like to start with a civil right s attorney.
