After law school my first job was clerking for a JD MD. If you want to get your degree in nursing that could be a path for you. That said a RN JD is not as prestigious but you would speak medical and additionally you would know instinctively the standard of care. A traditional Juris Doctor program is 3 years full time or 4 years part time. If your background is in medicine, I would look in to Med Mal defense or plaintiffs work. The good thing about Med Mal defense is that Doctors are good clients. [they pay their bills]
