What is the best state to be a Lawyer in? -

I am thinking about being a Lawyer and was wondering what state is a good state to live in for that. I do not mind living in a big city or out in the middle of no where either. I am looking to make a decent amount of money and dont care where i live.

New York is great, it s big with diversity and substance. I d imagine the pay for a New York attorney is much greater than one who works in a smaller town. But I d expect it to be very competitve.
