Can an American Lawyer represent me in a Canadian courtroom when I am suing someone? -

I have had trouble finding a lawyer who is willing to take on my case because of quot;conflictsquot; involving the lawyer or his firm and the parties named in the suit.

Only if he is authorized to practice law in that court.

only if he is licenced in Canadia to practice law. But since canadian law and US law is so different you don t want a US lawyer not trained in Canadian law

I am sure their are American lawyers who are also admitted to the bar in Canada! Look in the closest fairly large town, or go the the ABA to search for one!

They are a lot of Lawyers who practice in both the US and Canada because they have been admitted to State Bars in the US and one or more of the Province Bars in Canada. You ll need find one of then to represent you, the American Lawyer can only represent you if he/she had been admitted to the Canadian Bar or has a license to practice in Canada. Good luck hope you find one.
