I need to tell a lawyer that I wont be using him anymore for the condo closing? -

My realtor faxed over a copy of the contract and I don t want to ruin the realtionship with him but I ve decided to use another lawyer. What excuse can I give him?

dont give him an excuse..that probably will make you ruin the relationship. Just be honest and say that you ve decided to go with another lawyer, for whatever the reason was. Im sure he d appreciate this rather than a lie. (but if you feel like you really HAVE to lie, i d make up something to do with this new lawyer being a family friend or something..) goodluck

All you have to do is tell him that you decided to use someone else. It won t ruin your relationship.

tell him the truth. If is because the other lawyer is cheaper, he might be willing to negotiate. Anyway, he will not be devistated because of your decision. You are the employer

Tell him the truth. Tell him you have a preference for someone else that you want to use and cut him loose. Lawyers hear it all the time. They know people have personal preferences. You don t have to give an excuse.
