I am planning to be a lawyer. How do I prepare for that? -

I am in 8th grade and planning to practice laws in the future. I am planning to be a lawyer, i guess in the U.S. I am not quite sure how to prepare for it yet.

Talk to your counselor at school. Or ask the teacher you trust most? Maybe a history teacher? You need to decide if you want to spend less money going to community college to get an associates degree before going to university or not. Then, you can start planning what to do. But you can ask at your school if there is a club for future business leaders, or join the quot;mock trialquot; if there is one. Or the speech and debate team. this may not be popular where you are but if that is what you are going to do anyway being a lawyer you need to know now if you can function in a stress situation and still make a convincing speech to a crowd. Right? Ok. so talk to your counselor or a careers teacher. they can tell you what grades you need and what classes you will want to take to be considered for college. Good luck!

Do well in History and english and off you go.

For certain take debate class in 9th grade, and every year thereafter if you can get it into your schedule.
