What are good highschool courses for someone who wants to become a lawyer? -

I want to be a lawyer ,like a law lawyer so i want to know what courses i should take,I m a freshman at high school now by the way.

There are really 2 questions you may be asking 1) what classes do I HAVE to take to get to law school and 2) what classes SHOULD I take to give me the best chance to learn about the law for my own reasons. 1) Answer One: It does not matter. Just graduate high in your class so you can get into a decent college, after which you can also take anything you want, so long as your grades and LSATs are good. Law schools really dont care that much about your major and dont care at all about what you do in high school. 2) Answer Two: For your own intellectual growth, do mock trial, take psych, sociology, public speaking and writing courses. These are good general fields to fortify you for a career in the law. As you get near senior year, look around for internship opportunities with the city attorney or district attorney Just my 2 cents after 11 years of practicing law. Good luck. Keep your grades up, study hard, and take AP classes. Get to a point where you can do running start, probably your Junior or Senior year depending on your school and your level of dedication. In running start you can start taking college classes (getting prerequisites out of the way), that will get you towards your goal. Start looking into requirements of law schools, this will let you know what goals need to be set. Give the admission office a call and ask them if they can recommend what sort of classes you should take to prepare. For now make sure you are taking the required classes to graduate from high school. To do running start usually you ll need to skip out on alternative classes.

If you know you want to be a lawyer - great! Take all the English and debate classes you can handle. After that, take math and business courses.

im a freshman to and i must say you look pretty hot, email me!!, and just take a lot of honors english classes, thats what im doing
