Why should you use a lawyer when filing for a social security disability appeal? -

How long will it take to hear back from the social security administration?

Lawyers are good, especially if you receive a 2nd denial and have to request a hearing. Most hearing offices have a 12-18 month wait for a hearing (case load). Some have a 24 month wait. They are overloaded and slow. Get the lawyer after the 2nd denial. They are great at the hearing to argue the criteiron, wade through the paperwork and document everything you need for the best chance for you to be awarded. Most receive their pay from the SSA directly and only charge if they win. Check out the NOSSCR.org website for a referral.

Yes get a lawyer. Social security routinely Denies disability claims hoping you will give up and go away. There are a lot of lawyers that will take the case for free or free to you anyway. The only way to fight any big organization / Social Security/ the government is with some one that is trained how to do it. How long to here back ? Denied within 45 days the rest of it who knows as long as they can stall..
