Salary difference between an attorney and lawyer? -

i know an attorney and a lawyer are 2 different things. but does one get paid more than the other? whats the average salary difference? whats the better job, a lawyer or attorney? is becoming a lawyer require a different process than becoming an attorney?

An attorney at law is also known simply as an attorney or lawyer. It s like saying a medical doctor, is also known as physician. Or the president, aka Commander-in-Chief! you get the picture. :)

I was always told that they are the same thing.

A quot;lawyerquot; is someone who knows the law and has been admitted to the bar. He advises his clients about their legal rights and often pleads their cases in a court of law. In the strictest sense an attorney need not be a lawyer; in other words, he need not be someone who practices law. An quot;attorneyquot; is someone empowered to act in a legal capacity on someone s behalf. For example, when you give the power of attorney to someone, you are authorizing the individual to act on your behalf. This individual need not be a lawyer; he could be anyone - your brother, husband or friend. If you wish to use the word quot;attorneyquot; to mean quot;lawyerquot;, then the correct term is quot;attorney at lawquot;. In terms of salary, a quot;lawyerquot; and an quot;attorney at lawquot; are the same thing and make the same amount of money. The terms are interchangeable.

They re the same. It s like a cop and a polliceman. A medical doctor or a physician, or a minister or clergyman. They re the same thing!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing

It s the same thing. God. Do you read?
