he is VERY SMART he graduated in the top at harvard. after he graduated he helped work for civil rights and then he becam a lawyer. his biggest message is changing america. (even tho he doesnt exactly say how he is going to change things). also, people are tired of the clinton era, they want fresh blood. they turn to obama cuz he is the strongest out of the pack.
Not many thought that it was wrong to elect a former governor of a small state called Arkansas either. Abraham Lincoln did have some experiance which is something that the new lawyer from that state does not have.
I think that we can elect him because he speaks with a lot of passion and captivates an audience. He would be great for the US on the world stage. Unlike a lot of other politicans, Obama speaks openly about a lot of issues. I was glad when he admited to using drugs in the past. It shows that he can be trusted to tell us what is actually going on with the government rather than sugar coating it or making up lies so we will support the government.
And what is wrong with Lincoln? IMO, he is the finest president in the history of the USA. He conducted himself with dignity, honesty and did away with slavery. He had heart, compassion and genuine concern for the USA and its citizens. He is widely regarded as the best president we have ever had.
