I need money to pay for a discrimination lawyer for my daughter. Is there anyone out there who can help me? -

My daughter has been dismissed from her job because of a medical condition that in no way interfered with her performance on the job. Lack of funds to pay for a lawyer will allow this employer to get away with gross discrimination because he has money amp; she doesn t.

If your daughter s case has merit, it will be relatively easy to find a lawyer who will take it on a contingency basis (meaning they only get paid if your daughter wins). In fact, it is much easier to find lawyers to handle discrimination cases like this than personal injury cases, because discrimination laws provide that when the plaintiff wins, the defendant almost always has to pay the plaintiff s attorneys fees in addition to the damages awarded. So the lawyer will get his/her full fees (hourly rate times the number of hours), and your daughter will get her full judgment, probably without having to pay a percentage to her lawyer. If you can t find a lawyer willing to take the case without you having to pay them, then that is because the lawyers you have spoken with have concluded that your daughter s case has little merit.

ACLU American Civil Liberties Union - if its a good enough cause, they do it for free.

try pre-paid legal ...also call lawyer s offices and see if they work on a contingency plan so you plan when she wins the case...

Try EQUITY ONE. They give out personal loans. Or American General Finance. Or you can try your local bank and see if you qualify for a personal loan.

You do have a few options. Your local Bar Association might have a program where attorneys agree to take a case for no fee, or a reduced fee. Next, there may be a Legal Aid organization in your area, which also provides reduced or no-cost legal fees for people who qualify. If those options don t work, you may be able to find a lawyer who can take your case on contingency, which means he/she gets paid a percentage of any damages the court awards you from the employer.

asking for money on yahoo answers in not the way....start a Charity fund, hold a car wash,do a bake sale....etc etc...or take out a loan. But I doubt random strangers on yahoo answers are going to hand money over to you

I am not sure, but as far as i know such reclamation the most you could get is about 10k and im pretty sure that a lawyer will get most of it, i think is better letting that away, apply for unemployment benefits (I think is up to 6months) and get another job meanwhile.

It is against the Yahoo user Tamp;C to troll for money here.

If it were a good enough case then you could probably have found an attorney who would do it on a contingency basis. Which means they take a percentage of the settlement
