Im considering becoming an entertainment lawyer. How can I get started as and entertainment lawyer in NY? -

I have been thinking of entering the field of entertainment law when I get older. How can I get started off in this profession, and where are good paying possibilities for work in New York? What is a typical entertainment lawyer salary and how can I get a job as one in the future

First, you will need to attend law school, pass the bar exam in New York and than you can worry about the rest. My suggestion would be to start doing a lot of reading and don t stop. If you do well enough in law school the larger firms will find you.

rember this name tyler thomas hawkins #1 lawyer in america me i will be the next #1 Report Abuse

if you have not started law school best bet is to intern in one of these entertainment offices in NY, not in law just get in the door, once in bust your but, hopefully befriend a corporate lawyer, tell them how you like law and maybe they will give you an internship if you go to law school, then if you do work like a dog during internship and maybe they will offer you a job afterward

Dear Bob, Just an early tip: Train yourself now to proof read anything you write. Be certain of your grammar and syntax. Nothing looks dumber than an attorney who cannot spell or express himself/herself on paper. Typographical mistakes really do hurt your work product. Spell checking everything you do BEFORE you send it out goes a long way to making you look good. Good luck!!

Well Look around in the Phone book for Entertainment Lawyers. Or when you get going to law school you could try to do some Intern work for some Entertainment Lawyers.
