Advertise - that s what usually brings in the clients (on the plaintiff s side). I assume that s what your friend wants - is plaintiff s work. If he wants defense work, tell him to join non-law groups - insurance associations (he can mingle with claims adjusters), his local ethnic group association, anything to get his name out there in the community...
