What steps should I take to become a lawyer? -

I am in high school and I want to be a lawyer when I grow up but I need to know what AP s I should be taking and other things like that.

You should become a member of the forensics team ~peace~

WTF kind of answer is forensics??? You need to finish HS, get into a college with a pre-law curricula, take the LSATS, apply to a law school, be accepted, finish the law school and test/be accepted to the Bar. Report Abuse

go to law school

English - there is a ton of reading. Government. Economics. Public Speaking. It wouldn t hurt to stay in the math track - Calculus and Statistics - because the logical thinking in math can be useful training tothe logical thinking of law. Good luck.

Don t worry so much about the AP s. Go shadow a laywer or several and get some letters of recommendation, also that will help you learn more than any classes. Look at the colleges for strong programs in things that will prep you for law school. There are many colleges that have strong pre-law programs associated with their law schools, those would be the ones to visit, and ask questions at. If you want to stay in state, then go to the universities near you, find out their program requirements, and tailor your needs to their program, it ll save you the grief later of credits such as math, etc.. Good Luck
