Just complete the application and you re in. If you are a lawyer and you are breathing you can be admitted. It s more difficult because most cases are tried in State court and because the bankruptcy judge is only interested in paying the creditors and getting a piece of the action for his appointed trustee. I suspect there are kickbacks of money or kind. Judges appoint their friends as trustees and there is a killing to be made with all the property that goes through the trustee s hands. I ve seen lots of crap go on. If you re going to practice in bankruptcy court learn how to brown nose the judge, his clerks and especially the trustees.
You need to be admitted to the Federal District Court. It s a matter of completing the forms and finding someone who will move your admission. Some courts require that person to appear in court to actually move your admission. Call the court and see what the requirements are. The hardest part of a bankruptcy trial is that you need to know the law and the procedure. It s not the easiest thing and it s not for rookies -at least not alone.
