Lawyer????? -

I am 13(almost 14) and when I go to college I want to go to a law school I think! What area s do I have to study when I go? This school assighnment has us do reasearch reports on what we want to be!

Law schools don t care what major you are. They just want to see good grades and a degree in something. Anything. That and your LSAT makes up about 80% of what a law school considers. So, study whatever you like. However, I d really try and think about what kind of law you want to do. Most lawyers specialize in one area of law. That s because there s soooo much to know, it s hard to do a good job unless you just concentrate on one area. If you want to do business law, then pick a business major in college. Math and science usually lead to a career in Intellectual Property law. Your major in college helps you get internships during law school. In turn, those internships help you get a job once you graduate law school. Traditionally, you ve heard many people take Poly Sci or Philosophy before going on to law school. That might have been the case many years ago, but it s really not that helpful anymore. Law schools know poly sci is an easy major so they expect really high grades from you. Also, only English is really any help in quot;preparingquot; you for law school. Mainly because lawyers have to write well.

Go where the money is, litigation and personal injury lawyers make a lot of money. http://www.iannellamummolo.com Report Abuse

I don t know if you work in Canada but if you do ...WHat is a lawyer s salary in Canada? Report Abuse

There is no specific degree you have to have to go to law school, but you do have to have an undergraduate degree. A good field besides the traditional criminal justice route would be English, Psychology, Political Science, or even some type of Business Degree.
