Why does everyone automatically think they need a lawyer? -

I have noticed in many questions people are looking to hire a lawyer instead of going through more practical channels like filing police reports, contacting the labor board, contacting your city zoning board. Why does everyone think it requires a lawyer to handle a simple situation? I believe lawyers are sometimes necessary but it seems unpractical in many situations.

People are generally too lazy to do their own thinking.

I despise lawyers and do everything to avoid them. They are modern day Dracula s in suits. BUT sometimes you really need one if your in a tough spot.

Because the police don t do anything unless they have to, the zoning boards pass you off to someone else, and everyone at the local government level is a complete tool. That is why you need to lawyer, so you don t have to deal with all the BS.
