Some misdemeanor charges are pled out without the lawyer ever even needing to go to court, in some there may be several hearings plus discovery and depositions. Also, what a lawyer would charge per hour is not going to be the same in Podunk as it is in Manhattan. Richard
That sounds about correct. Depends on many things. Where you live, what others charge, your criminal history, etc. But only a fool represents himself in court--could be a very good investment.
