Is it possibile to be a lawyer and just work behind the scenes? -

I think I d like being a lawyer, but getting up infront of a courtroom and pleading my case just doesn t appeal to me.

You are talking about a litigator. That s the kind of lawyer you see on TV (Law and Order, etc.) but not all lawyers practice litigation--in fact, most don t. My father is a lawyer and hasn t been to court in 30 years--he was in corporate law for many years and is now a law professor.
