Can I hire a lawyer to get my Chapter 13 bankruptcy case changed? -

I filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy in June 2007 and I got a notice in July 2008 that my lawyer was suspended and it said I had 14 days to get a new lawyer. I stupidly did not get a new lawyer and now I am unemployed and I need my case changed. Can I hire a new lawyer to change my case?

You can change attorneys any time that you wish. I would started by searching for any attorney who belongs to the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

You need to first find out what happened to your Chapter 13. It may have been dismissed. Call the court and see where you stand.
