How much does a lawyer get paid? -

want to know how much a lawyer or attorney gets paid either Annually or PCM(per calender month)? If i have used the words wrong, I mean the guy up the front in a suit defending the defendant etc. and in british please. Thanks. And no more depends i want an average.
