The First thing you need to do to be successful Lawyer is practice chasing Ambulances
Prepare yourself for 3 years of hell, but well worth it. First you need to graduate from a 4 year college with a very good grade point average (preferably in the 3.3 range and up.) Then you will need to prepare and study for the LSAT exam (which is an evil exam) and you MUST score to get into a good law school at minimum a 158 (highest score you can reach is a 180 and rarely ever achieved.) Then you need to obtain at minimum 3 letters of recommendation, write a personal statement about who you are and why you want to become a lawyer and go to that specific law school. Send out applications and begin applying for financial aid even if you haven t been accepted yet. At least you got the financial aid out of the way. Then prepare for 3 years of no life and study, study, study...... The entire process takes about a year after taking your LSAT s and that is with the hopes you did well the first time around. Law school teaches you everything you need to know about all areas of the law. Some law schools offer a concentration in a specific area of the law or it s general (the school I attend offers a concentration in the area I am interested in.) When you do your research looking for law schools it is very important to check for the number of students who pass the bar exam the first time around. If the percentage is low it is not a school you want to attend. The best of luck!
