At one time they were the most respected because of the level of education you had to receive to get them. The typically left them open only to the rich and elite who could afford college. After the GI Bill let middle classers into college, that attitude started to change. There s still a level of respect associated with these careers due to the pay scale involved, but lawyers have taken the biggest hit due to the amulance chasers all over TV.
These careers will always be needed by people. Computers cannot do these, and you can make a lot of money in these careers.
Bc they require a lot of education and experience to do well. And back in the day those were the professions the people felt contributed most to society
I m one of the everyone then ;) To me, they are one of the most meaningful and challenging jobs (I sound a little idealistic here). Also this I think is what the majority thinks doctors and lawyers are (might not necessarily be true): - highly respected (they got their degrees, they save people and instil justice) - they earn A LOT - the prestige attached to being one of them Just curious, why wouldn t you want to be them? haha
because you re at university indulging in drugs and casual sex for a whole degree longer. and because you re very well paid.
