Is it true that if u get the service of an Immigration Lawyer it can speed up the process of getting a visa? -

I am married to a US citizen man, my petition is currently pending which is IR-1130 amp; 1-129F(K-3 visa). Some advise to us that hiring an Immigration Lawyer can speed up the petition process but my husband cant afford a lawyer, Is our application can be left behind considering that we just apply it on our own without a lawyer. Pls give me your opinion. Thanks

A lawyer can help you fill out the forms completely and correctly, but he can t make USCIS work any faster or make the calendar go by more quickly. USCIS won t process your paperwork any faster if it has an attorney s name on it. They hardly have time to look for it.

Having a lawyer does not speed up the process in other words your application will not be put to the front of line just because of you had help from a lawyer. All it means is the lawyer will help and assist you in filling out the forms for you, which you are capable of doing. Good luck in your application.

Usually, a lawyer helps. But a K-3 is about the most easy visa you can apply for. You will only get turned down if there is signs of fraud.

I had a friend who was filing for his wife. they went to the lawer first to see the processing times and queotes. Law office pretty famous (a lot of adds in the paper, on local busses, online etc). So he told him that if he goes with him his wife will get EAD in 6 month, her greencard interwiew will be approximatly in 2 years and the cost will be $2,500 (thats back in a day when the pocket cost app $1000). So he realized it will be probably be too expensive and he is smart enough to do it on his own. so he filed. his wife got EAD in 2 month and greencard interview was 6 month later. so, basically he saved his time and money. what i personally think is that when u do it with the lawer then he has a lot of other cases to handle. when letter comes to his office asking for something additional then he is gonna call u in a few days after receiving it and then it is gonna take u a week or two to get it and bring it to the office and another week for lawer to go thorough it and mail it. on the other hand when it comes to your home u r the only one responsible and u get things done quicker. i would only suggest to hire a lawer in a complicated case like handling deportation order, big overstay. so i think u should be fine, those forms are pretty easy to fill out. if u have any questions about it u can always come back here and ask good luck to u PS. 500 savings for vactination????? are u crazy???? the whole healthn test with vatinations cost about $300!!!, i payed $280 (she got 3 shots on the test out of four cus she had chicken pox before) for my wife and it was accepted! (just recently). see, lawyers are ripping u off!!! Irefer to the above answer

Yes, it does. Don t listen to any other answers, I m serious. I ve been through 5 immigration cases, all successful and approved, and my last one was the hardest but fastest, strictly because I used an immigration attorney. The difference: -Immigration attorney certified through AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) are pretty much capable of telling you on the spot if your petition will be approved or denied and do not care about their personal profit. They go through the same legilation training as USCIS does, and many of them turn down your money and your case if it is not good enough. They are also required to be members of the Supreme Court and have a certain number of years under their belt strictly in immigration. Try AILA.org to find some in your area. -An immigration attorney has seen your process done tens of times. They know what to include. If my permanent residency petition was filed without my attorney, I would have not known that my health test does not need vaccinations ($500 saved), or that I need to provide certain pieces of evidence that are exclusive to my case and are NOT mentioned on the forms. They truly look at your own personal unique scenario and tell you what you need to send and what you can leave out. -Most immigration firms provide their own case tracker system that tells you where your form is every week. -The petitions they send are forms that are sent from USCIS directly to them, some in color! All of them are typed, and filed like a binder or booked with an index and a color-coded system for the immigration officer to look at exactly what they need to look at in the ORDER THEY PROCESS IT, not the order people usually submit it. An AILA lawyer knows this. -All petitions by AILA lawyers have a slim chance of denial because they get qualified before they are sent, they include a cover letter mentioning their membership, expertise, and their backing by the Supreme Court (making it look really difficult to deny and pretty much a threat to appeal until approved). Just invest the money. I promise you, I thought i would regret it, and I spent more than $2000, but now I m happy with it because I know I will not get anything sent back asking for quot;more evidencequot; or quot;illegible writingquot; that will delay my case.
