If your lawyer becomes pregnant during a long drawn out custody trial and thinks she wont be there? -

thinks she will be out on leave and the case is put off even further what can the client do to make the lawyer have a partner there to take their place what is the law or is there any. Should the lawyers partner be responsible for getting the case over with in a timely manner. The Defendant has put off the case for almost two year s.Does the Plaintiff have a right to require that the case moves on with the help of another partner in the same firm as the plantiffs attorney. Please help. Thanks

Why on earth would a lawyer want to have a kid? (I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but it begs the question.) Yes, her firm should step up and send a replacement.

I would think the firm that she works with would then assign someone to you to replace her.
