Do everything Mr G said, PLUS this: Enroll in a 4-year bachelor s program in which you can excel academically, preferably if it is a field, which is at best, only loosely related to law. That is, if you are good at chemistry, go into that, or if you enjoy kinesiology, go into that, rather than traditional programs like history and political science. Law schools like people from unique backgrounds, especially when compared to all the english and philosophy majors they get applying. It will also set you up to practice law in a field of your interest.
*Do well in school, all classes. *Participate in extra curricular activities. *Start preparing for the SAT/ACT. It will be a while before you take the LSAT s *Practice thinking amp; speaking on your feet -- in front of others *Read a lot, varied subject matter -- be well read in many areas. *Tuition -- varies. Columbia is around $25,000. But, a school like UC Davis is around $15,000. Some state schools can be lt; $10,000. There are lots of scholarships
