The insurance company should not talk with you. However if they do, which is doubtful, they will only use the opportunity to gather information that will help them. I worked for an insurance company for 15 years, if someone had an attorney we were not suppose to talk with them AT ALL! Personally I wouldn t do it! Trust me, it will come back to bite you in the but! Not to mention, it will probably really piss your attorney off! No Joking!
I would just pressure your attorney. Your going around the lawyer will only create bigger problems for yourself and your lawyer may drop you and send you a big bill.
No. Once you have representation, you can not contact the company you are suing. Four months is nothing. Mine took a year and a half. Just wait and be patient and let your attorney handle it.
I was assaulted in 1999 the company threatened me and I am still dealing with it.
Once you get the lawyers involved, you have to go through them. Get him to send another letter, unless he has a good reason to keep waiting (maybe they have a deadline to respond that he s hoping they ll miss).
Whatever you do, do NOT contact the insurance company about this suit! If you think it is taking too long, get on your attorney, and see what is going on. Regards, Dan
