I sued a former company, but now I want to drop the case, how can i approach this with my lawyer and tell him? -

I just don t want to go through with it anymore. I am emotionally depressed and distraught and I know that I cannot not face this whole thing. I need some tips on what I can write to my lawyer. Much appreciated.

Just tell him..........but be prepared to pay a big bill that would have been covered with the law suit money.

Your lawyer is your contracted employee. You tell him... quot;Drop the case, I m donequot;

Just tell him you want to drop it. Expect, though, to receive a bill for whatever time he s already put into the case. Even if he took the case on a contingency basis that would be on the assumption that the case proceeded through to completion. If you choose to drop it, he s entitled to be paid for the work he already did, and reimbursed for anything he already spent, such as court fees etc. Richard
