Do you need a lawyer in order to apply for a reentry permit? -

My friend is a green card holder but is still attending school here in Manila. He needs to get hold of a reentry permit and was wondering if he still needs to contact a lawyer to have his application processed. Thanks!

I don t know why he would. It s just a matter of filling out the form, and waiting for USCIS to get to it and adjudicate it. Your friend s real problem is, you can t apply for it outside the US. He would have to return to the US, apply for it and not leave until he got it.
