What are the hours like for a patent lawyer? -

Or any other type of lawyer. Please give a range of answers. Thanks!

guy above is CLUELESS. Patent lawyers are 80+ hours the first few years. You have to talk to the people filing the patents between 9-5 and then you have to actually do your worh the other 40+ hours. The best part of the job is that you get paid well, and work some munch your first few years, that you do not spend any of the money you make (your meals get paid for when you work late).

Patent lawyer must likely 9 to 5, no trial prep, etc may work longer on certain patents Any type of trial lawyer wacky hours, esp when trial approaches 80 hours easy before trial Any type of new lawyer no trial 80 hours billing the big boys need to make there monies Prosecutors, trials long hours, usually depends 9 to 7
