How would i become a Lawyer? -

Hypothetically how would i start on the road to become a lawyer?

You first need an undergraduate degree. Depending on the law school you want to attend, there may be a better undergraduate program that they prefer. For example I hear that some schools prefer more science or engineering undergrads while some prefer English or philosophy. Then afterwords you have to take the LSATs and apply to law schools with your scores, transcripts and an essay of some sort.

Everything builds on what comes before. So start strong and keep at it as you go through these steps: 1. Do well in college. It s helpful if you take some courses that focus on research, writing, and analysis. Everything from math to writing courses to logic can be a great help. 2. Do well on the LSAT. Law schools look at the scores from this test to help determine if they will let you in. The better you do on this, the better the law schools you can get into. To do well, it helps to take several months to review practice manuals (you can get in bookstores) and/or take courses on the LSAT. 3. Attend law school (the best you can get into). Focus on doing your very best your first year (and of course well in all years). That will enable you to get good internships during the summers while you are in law school. Getting good summer work will help you to get a good job after you graduate. 4. Take a bar exam. You would take the exam from the state in which you think you will practice. This takes significant preparation (usually during the summer after you finish law school). 5. Get your job! Hope this helps. Good luck!

Do well in school;; Attend College;; Go to law school;; And get a job. :)
