How do you know what kind of lawyer to hire when your having financial disputes with someone? -

This person owes me money that he charged onto my credit card. I dont want my credit to go bad and i dont want to pay for something that i did not charge.

You can do this your self in small claims court. You are going to get all your stuff together. Go to the library and look how to win at small claims court Nolo has a lot of great stuff. Go to your legal aide society. Did you give permission to this card? Yes, that it will be harder to prove. No, then you can also talk about theft/fraud. And you can dispute that with your credit card. You have a time period call your credit card company.

I suggest you Baker amp; McKenzie. Top 3 Answerer in Business amp; Finance. (Vote for me)

Use a law directory specifically for Credit and Collection Attorneys. I have included a link to one. However, if you did not authorize use of the credit card you may have a much simpler solution. See the FTC site for details.

You can try to sue the person civily with a civil attorney
