This person owes me money that he charged onto my credit card. I dont want my credit to go bad and i dont want to pay for something that i did not charge.

Go to your legal aide society. Did you give permission to this card? Yes, that it will be harder to prove. No, then you can also talk about theft/fraud. And you can dispute that with your credit card. You have a time period call your credit card company.
