Should familes respect the eldest grandchild more than the others simply b/c she is a lawyer? -

Our family is pretty big, and it appears that the oldest grandchild gets so much more respect than anyone else, she is a lawyer but the other kids also have careers one is a nurse, one builds housing two are in school to become a nurse, one works for the US embassy, so why is she so much more favored, her opinion counts and no one else s does.I am getting very flustered by this.

everyone needs equal respect..but families don t always do that..playing on the favorities..and so on..that is sad when one person receives all the attention.

No, that s wrong. It s just like that bible story (I m an atheist, but I still know the story XP) where the man favors his youngest son. Of COURSE the siblings are going to get jealous enough to sell him to a slaver, DUH! XD Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Anyway, I think favoritism is wrong. Just my opinion, though.

Because the lawyer is the one that has the biggest chance of being needed or used. Free legal advice and able to pull strings if needed.
