I am not sure your exact situation but I know its not your job to do anything other then what the judge says (interperating fact and then applying fact to legal principles) even if it turns to a crappy result... Dont feel bad about it its not your fault or your job to worry about why someone has the better side... You can only see what you see (and its this design that makes the system work)
You did exactly what the legal system required of you. Who cares that the guy was a lawyer and had better evidence? There are places where you can get free or cheap legal representation, even in Civil Law cases, which it sounds like this probably was. Both of them had the chance to get representation and obtain evidence, and if the lawyer s evidence was better, so what? What s with people always making stereotypes? Lawyers are not all bad and they are not all rich!
You did your job, which was make your decision based on the evidence. Maybe you could channel some of that angry energy into working on legal reforms for the poor. Just a thought.
That s just the way the system works. It isn t always right.
