In the US, most lawyers have received at least seven years of post-secondary (High School) education, as virtually all lawyers hold at least a bachelor s degree (4 years) followed by a Juris Doctor (3 years in most cases).
After completing a 4-year university degree, law school is another 3 years. Then new law school grads typically study for 3 - 6 more months to pass the state bar exam.
4 years of college plus 3 years of law school plus whatever his primary education was. That is 19 years of schooling. No wonder they re so cranky.
Three years.
