Where do I find an immigration lawyer for immigration to Canada? -

I m from the US and this might be a dumb question but I was wondering where do you look for an immigration lawyer for immigration to Canada? When people say they hire an immigration lawyer or talk to one for cosulation, do they look in their country of residence for one or do they have to go to Canada to find one for immigration to Canada? I kinda figured you would have to go to Canada due to different laws in different countries. But anyway, does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I m not sure you need a lawyer for that but you can try finding one at sites like the one below. Anyways, good luck! http://www.socalattorneyfinder.com

I know this isn t an answer to your question but thank you so much for asking it. I was just about to ask the same thing. What state are you in? I m trying to help my bf move up from the US too. Thanks Leon for your website link...that s awesome!! By the way I don t know what you do for work but there is a fast track program for people in certain trades right now. This is a good website. If you have any of the trades you can get in super fast or if you have immediate family who can sponsor you or you go to school here. http://www.immigration.ca/index2.asp Good luck!

You don t need a lawyer unless you have a problem like a criminal conviction or former deportation or something. Not all, but some quot;immigration consultantsquot; are scam artists. Be careful there. www.cic.gc.ca probably has all the information you need.

You don t need an immigration lawyer but if you want one, you can find one at http://www.canadavisa.com/ I have heard they are good.
